Floating bridge refers to a bridge that floats on the water surface instead of piers by boats or pontoons. There are two structural forms of pontoons: ① The traditional form is to frame beams on ships or pontoons and then lay the bridge deck. ② The combination of boats and beams, or the ships are connected end to end in tandem, or the boats are closely arranged in a belt. In order to keep the position of the pontoon axis from shifting, cable anchorage shall be set up in the upstream and downstream. In order to connect with the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, a transition beam or springboard needs to be set up on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. In order to adapt to the fluctuation of water level, lifting wharf or lifting trestle shall be set on both sides.
